Expozure Salon was opened in 1995 under the name of Expozure Hair Concepts.  The salon gain full recognition and was even voted Top Business of the Year by the Minority Enterprise Development in 2006.  Seeing that the hair industry was losing ground in professionalism, in 2010 Expozure Hair Concepts changed its name to Expozure Salon & Training Institute.  This way the owners could make a deposit in young up and coming stylist by mentoring and offering them (as well as other stylist) different classes to help build their skill set.

After 30 years in the hair industry, JD started seeing how relaxers had began to alter her clients hair and scalp as they got older. As a trichologist, “I saw so many changes due to the chemicals, medication, sickness and etc.  I knew I had to make some serious changes”.  That is when JD took the salon into a whole new direction towards Natural Hair.  Because JD worked for the ethic division of L’Oreal USA, she understood the importance of “Going Natural”.

Natural Hair is Expozure Salons primary focus (some clients still receive relaxer, just not as often).  The stylist are all trained and educated in Natural Hair Care, Styling, and Design.  Our consultations will help to inform each client on the type and texture of hair they have.  Also they are advised on the type of products needed to keep their hair hydrated and looking good time after time.  Expozure Salon provides meet-ups for the Natural Hair community and educational forums for Natural Hair Stylist.
